No research, no care.

The future of care for children with neurological diseases depends on research, and without research families cannot get clear answers. Now, following the creation of the Mariani Foundation Centre for Paediatric Mitochondrial Disorders and the Paediatric Movement Analysis Lab – “Pierfranco and Luisa Mariani Foundation” (in Italian “LAMB”), research is moving in new directions.

Today, the Mariani Foundation, a funding body of many projects, is also a strategic partner to research centres, working to develop networks and shared work tools, and strengthening and sharing results, with the aim of obtaining increasingly effective treatments and care. It is with these aims in mind that five Mariani Foundation Networks have been created to develop multicentre registry platforms devoted to different groups of diseases.
