Care centres
Worldwide, one child in five has, or could develop, one of the many neurological diseases that affect the foetal phase, birth and growth period. The Mariani Foundation aims to ensure that such children receive assistance and care that will improve their quality of life.
The Foundation has always supported clinical activities as well as efforts to humanise hospitals, the latter through a combination of hospitality, information and greater involvement of children and parents in care processes. This is the first substantial legacy of its founder, Luisa Mariani.
Thanks to the fact that the Mariani Foundation Centres are based in hospitals, we can be very close to these children with special needs. We deal specifically with rare metabolic disorders, complex disabilities, movement disorders and genetic diseases.
